Programs and Practices for Forest Land
NRCS is inviting licensed foresters to become certified
Technical Service
Providers (TSP) to develop forest management plans.
The
2008 Farm Bill emphasizes the importance of forest land by
promoting healthy, sustainable forests and protecting rare ecosystems
and rare species habitat. NRCS offers conservation programs to help
forest land owners protect and manage their natural resources.
NRCS is now offering technical and financial assistance to implement
conservation practices that are part of your forest management plan through the
Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and the Wildlife Habitat
Incentives Program (WHIP).
If you need a forest management plan, funds may be available to help you to
develop a plan.
